Summer Hiking...

Brad and I went for a short hike outside of Boulder on the Ceran St Vrain trail. We've hiked with Anderson in the Baby Bjorn before but this was his first hike in the backpack. He seemed to enjoy it. The first time we do anything with the baby is a learning experience. Next time we hike, we decided that we'll either have to go in the morning right after he gets up or after his morning nap for an afternoon hike.

Brad was trying not to jostle him too much so he was walking a little slower than normal. It was a nice to be able to enjoy the beauty around me instead of catching my breath while trying to keep up with him!

This is a Sherpani backpack...great for day hikes!!

Love these trees!!

It was so funny to watch Anderson watch Bella!!! As you can see, Bella was begging for the apple I was eating and Brad was standing about 20 yards away with some Bella treats trying to keep her from bugging Anderson and me. So, Brad would put some treats on the ground by him and call Bella. Bella would then get worried that she would miss out on the treats on the ground so she would sprint over to Brad, get the treats, then sprint back to the apple. Anderson was watching her like a hawk and cracking up every time she sprinted back to us. Too cute!!

After about 45 minutes, he fell asleep in the backpack and didn't look very comfortable. What a trooper!

A Big Day...

It's a big day in the Talley home...Anderson rolled over!! Brad told me that he saw him do it on Saturday but I was sceptical that "he did it all by himself".
Now he's a rolling machine!! He really seems like he likes to practice it...I think we may have a professional athlete on our hands people (I can dream)!! I got a couple of videos of him rolling. Ignore my annoying high-pitched voice...I can't help it...I am a proud mommy!!

Uncle Brett...

Today Anderson got to meet Uncle Brett (Brad's youngest brother)! He had a long lay-over at Denver International Airport. So, we headed out there and had lunch with him. It was great to see him!!

Rockies vs Mariners

Yesterday Anderson went to his first baseball game...Rockies vs Mariners. Grandma and Grandpa Gregory got him a bunch of Mariners gear for Easter so he was a well-dressed baby! We went to Breckenridge Brewery for dinner before the game.

Drool much...

Lots of excitement for the first few innings!! Anderson loved looking at those flags flying behind us. Oh...and of course, the game was fun to watch too!!

By the third inning, Anderson was out cold!! Too funny!

Tune-Up Tri

This weekend I completed my first (hopefully of many) triathlon (swim, bike, run)! It was a blast!! My friend, Renee was training for this tri when I first started working out again after having Anderson and she talked me into doing it with her...thanks Renee!! I definitely recommend doing a tri...its great cross training and soooo much fun!!

The swim is always first...this swim was in a pool but many are "open water" swims which means its in a lake or other large body of water. It was nice starting off with a pool swim because that was what I trained in at the gym.

Bike is always next...this was my hardest sport. It was only the third time I'd been on my bike since last spring so I was a bit rusty to say the least. Hopefully in the future I'll train a little more on my bike and can improve my time and performance.

The run is always last...the legs we pretty shaky after swimming and biking but I felt pretty good.

Renee and I after we finished...

Coors Brewery

Over the past three years, Brad and I have had a lot of company come into town to visit. One of the things we have done quite a bit is visit the Coors Brewery. Its fun and FREE!! While my dad is in town for a couple weeks to watch Aderson, we took him (Grandpa Tracy) and his friend, Nancy there. We had a great time!!

Ummmmm...is he eyeing that beer or what?!?!

Daddy's favorite...hops!!

For now, Anderson prefers his hand to any type of beer...whew!!

Rice Cereal

Last week Anderson tried rice cereal for the first time! It was pretty funny. We've tried it a couple of times since then and we haven't had any more success with it than we did the first time. I think that all rice cereals taste the same. I picked up an organic brand at Sunflower Market. I tasted it...it's ok...a little bland. Anyone have other suggestions for rice cereal or any input on how long it took before your little one started to actually eat some of it instead of spitting it all out?

Zoo Fun

Alyson and I went to the Denver Zoo yesterday. We have an annual membership and have taken several of our visitors there. Anderson doesn't quite know what he's looking at (yet) but he enjoys the ride in his BOB!!
